Introduction in HAND EMBROIDERY and implementing it on clothing WORKSHOP by Damaja

Time: 13.00 - 17.00h

Location:
Laslo - Harzer Str. 25, 12059 Berlin - Neukölln

Through learning the basic hand embroidery techniques you can either choose to creatively express yourselves on natural fabrics and create wall art, or you can refresh your old clothing by adding embroidery motives on stains or holes instead of throwing them away or sending them to thrift stores.

This can be your new craft to contribute in the ZERO WASTE movement.

Bring your favorite piece of clothing, made on non-stretchy fabric that you don't wear anymore. You can bring your own design that you want to embroider, you can improvise with a drawing on spot or you can use some of the designs offered by us.

You can also just bring yourself if you are into discovering the art of hand embroidery and we will provide you with all the necessary materials and variety of embroidery designs for you to choose.

Embroidery is a meditative technique. Come and have a nice and inspiring afternoon. Embrace your creativity. Relеаse all your thoughts, let your brain completely relax and allow your intuition to contribute in every string you take.

This workshop will be taught in English and is designed for all skill levels - from embroidery beginners to seasoned stitchers. No previous knowledge or skills are necessary! Everybody's welcomed.

All materials are provided: embroidery hoops, fabrics, needles, transferring paper, embroidery stitches, embroidery designs.

Each participant will get all the materials needed to continue the practice at home, the only thing you’ll need to provide additionally is threads.
